About this stone
Forest Green is the Indian green marble many people picture when they ask for green stone: an olive and moss-green ground with branching dark lines and rust-brown veins, like a forest floor seen from above. It gives a room a natural, earthy feel and sits well with wood, brass and cream walls.
It suits wall cladding, hall and reception floors, bathroom walls, vanity tops and window sills. Polished, the greens deepen; leathered, the texture comes forward. The stone has natural hairline fissures that are usually filled with resin during finishing, and like other green marbles it should be fixed with a suitable adhesive rather than plain cement. Acids will dull its surface.
Care
Wipe with warm water and a pH-neutral stone cleaner. Seal once a year and wipe up lemon, vinegar and coffee quickly.
