About this stone

Ghazal Dark is the deep grade of the Ghazal granite: an olive and khaki ground with honey-coloured and black crystals, some of them rounded. In the swatch it reads as a warm dark green, while the deepest blocks can look almost black once polished, so the shade varies between blocks.

It is hard and dense, which suits a kitchen countertop, stairs and wall cladding. It resists scratches and heat, and the mixed colour hides crumbs and small marks. Polished dark surfaces do show water spots and dust more than a light speckle, so a honed or leathered finish is worth considering for a busy kitchen. Choose from the actual slab, since the green can run lighter or darker.

Care

Wipe with a damp microfibre cloth and dry it to avoid water spots. Use a neutral cleaner and reseal every one to two years.
