About this stone

Verde Ghazal is a green granite from Egypt's Eastern Desert: a deep olive ground with black and pale grey crystals woven through it. Polished, it looks almost black-green from a distance and shows its colour when you come close, which makes it a quiet choice for a kitchen, a feature wall or a table top.

It is hard, takes hot pots and daily use, and its dark tone hides small marks. Leathered, it has a soft matt feel that shows fewer fingerprints than a high polish. The caveat: green is a strong colour to live with, so look at a full slab next to your cabinet samples, under your own lighting, before deciding.

Care

Wipe with warm water and a mild soap, and avoid acid or bleach cleaners. Dry water off a polished dark surface to avoid spots.
