About this stone
A dark green-grey stone of large crystals that catch the light in small blue and gold flashes. It is the darker partner of Blue Pearl, and in a home it looks close to charcoal until the light moves across it, which gives a kitchen island or bar top depth without a loud pattern.
It is larvikite, as hard as granite, and handles heat and daily use well. It suits kitchen countertops, vanities, feature walls and table tops. The honest caveat: on a dark polished surface, fingerprints, water spots and dust show more than on a speckled light stone, and acidic spills left too long can dull the shine.
Care
Wipe with a soft cloth, warm water and a pH-neutral cleaner, then dry. Seal once a year.
