About this stone

Grey agate has the same banded structure as blue agate in a neutral range. The panel is packed with rounded pieces in charcoal, smoky grey, soft taupe and translucent white, many showing fine rings along their edges. It looks busy up close and calm from across the room.

Because it does not commit to a colour, it is easier to use over a larger area: a feature wall, a reception desk, a bar front or a table top, backlit or not. Not for floors, kitchen worktops or outdoor use.

Care

These panels are stone pieces set in resin on a backing board, so they are more delicate than a solid slab: protect them from knocks, heavy loads and sharp objects. Wipe with a soft damp cloth and a pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid acids, scouring pads and hot pans, and keep the panel out of strong direct sun, which can age the resin over time.

Better avoided for

  • Floors
  • Kitchen countertops
  • Outdoor & facades
  • Stairs
  • Sills & thresholds
