About this stone
Karnak Grey is a light-to-mid grey granite with a medium, even speckle of white, grey and charcoal. It is a neutral stone that sits easily in many homes, beside grey or white kitchen cabinets, plain walls, or at a building entrance and staircase.
It is hard, low in porosity and stable outdoors, so it handles foot traffic, strong sun and washing without trouble. Flamed, it gives a textured finish for outdoor steps, balconies and garden paths; polished, it works for indoor floors, window sills and kitchen countertops, where it resists scratches and heat. The caveat: polished Karnak Grey is slippery when wet, so keep the polished finish indoors and choose flamed for anything outside.
Care
Wash with water and a neutral cleaner, and sweep sand off steps to protect the finish. Reseal indoor polished surfaces every couple of years.
