About this stone
A granite with a warm grey-beige base scattered with irregular black crystals and flecks of smoky quartz. The mix of light and dark grains gives it a lively salt-and-pepper look that hides crumbs, water spots and everyday marks well.
Granite is much harder than marble and resists lemon and vinegar, which makes this a practical stone for a kitchen countertop, a family staircase, entrance steps and outdoor paving. Flamed or bush-hammered, it gives good grip outside. The honest caveat is style: the busy speckled grain looks less refined than a veined marble, so it suits practical spaces better than a formal reception floor.
Care
Clean with warm water and mild soap. A penetrating sealer every few years keeps oil from darkening the lighter grains.
