About this stone
Sunny Oro is a rich ochre-gold with a grainy texture and soft grey-violet clouds running through it. It is the boldest of the Sunny grades. It suits an entrance hall, a feature wall or a staircase where you want warmth and colour rather than a quiet background.
It behaves like other Egyptian marble. It cuts and shapes easily and handles heat, but it scratches and etches more easily than granite, and acidic spills leave dull spots on a polished face. Because the colour is strong, it can make a small or dim room feel darker. Use it on floors, walls and stairs, not kitchen countertops.
Care
Mop with a pH-neutral cleaner and avoid vinegar or lemon-based products. Seal after fitting and reseal about once a year.
Better avoided for
- Kitchen countertops
- Outdoor & facades
