About this stone
Hoody Dark is the deeper grade of Hoody: copper and salmon feldspar with blue-grey quartz and a heavy black speckle. It is warmer and stronger in colour than the light grade, and it grounds a space rather than lifting it, pairing well with dark wood and cream walls.
It has the same hardness and weather resistance as Hoody Light. The dense speckle hides dirt and foot marks, so it suits stairs, entrance steps, outdoor paving and window sills, and it also works for kitchen countertops, where it resists scratches and heat. The caveat is the strength of the colour: across a large indoor floor the copper tone can feel heavy, so it often looks better on steps, borders or a single counter.
Care
Wash with water and a neutral cleaner; flamed outdoor areas can be scrubbed with a stiff brush. Seal polished indoor surfaces.
