About this stone
Egyptian Botticino is a warm beige marble with a fine, close grain and a faint figure that runs in one direction. It follows the look of the classic Italian botticino, so it suits traditional and classic interiors with wood doors and gold or bronze details.
It works well on floors, stairs, wall cladding, skirting and window sills. Being marble, it is softer than granite: grit dulls a polished surface, and lemon, vinegar and strong cleaners leave dull marks, so keep it off kitchen countertops. Colour shifts a little from block to block, so look at all the slabs for your job side by side before they are cut.
Care
Wash with water and a mild neutral cleaner. Seal after fixing and again once a year.
Better avoided for
- Kitchen countertops
- Outdoor & facades
