About this stone
Yellow quartz panels are a close mosaic of small angular crystal pieces in honey, amber and pale cream, with the odd rust-tinted piece among them. Set in resin on a backing, the panel lets light through well, so a lamp behind it turns the whole surface a warm amber.
It suits a backlit bar front, a reception desk, a feature wall or a table top in a warm scheme with timber or brass. Keep it away from floors, kitchen worktops and outdoor walls.
Care
These panels are stone pieces set in resin on a backing board, so they are more delicate than a solid slab: protect them from knocks, heavy loads and sharp objects. Wipe with a soft damp cloth and a pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid acids, scouring pads and hot pans, and keep the panel out of strong direct sun, which can age the resin over time.
Better avoided for
- Floors
- Kitchen countertops
- Outdoor & facades
- Stairs
- Sills & thresholds
