About this stone
Serpeggiante has a soft grey-beige ground with fine, straight lines of cream and light brown running side by side, like the grain of pale wood. It is quiet and modern, and it makes a space look longer when the lines follow the length of a corridor or hall.
It suits floors, wall cladding, stair treads, window sills and bathroom walls, and it looks especially good honed, where the lines feel softer. The lines call for a decision: run them all one way or turn them into a pattern, but plan it before the fitter starts. Light, porous stones like this can take oil and coffee stains, so seal it and wipe spills quickly.
Care
Clean with warm water and a pH-neutral stone cleaner. Reseal every year, more often on floors near the kitchen.
