About this stone
White Aswan is a pale grey-white granite with a fine dark speckle. It gives granite strength while keeping a room light, which suits floors, stairs and wall cladding in homes where darker granite would feel heavy, and it pairs well with white walls and light wood.
It handles foot traffic, sun and rain, and flamed tiles work well around a garden or on a roof terrace. It can be used for a kitchen countertop, but as a light stone, oil, turmeric and coffee need wiping quickly and the surface should be sealed. Up close it reads light grey rather than pure white, so do not expect the look of white marble or quartz.
Care
Wipe with warm water and a mild soap, and avoid acid or bleach cleaners. Seal before installation and reseal kitchen and bathroom surfaces every year.
