About this stone
Sahara Brown is a dark coffee-brown granite with olive, rust and blue-grey crystals and black grains running through it. It gives a kitchen or staircase a warm, earthy look and pairs well with beige walls, wood and brass.
It is dense and takes a hard polish, so it is a practical kitchen countertop: it resists knife scratches and hot pans and does not show crumbs or small stains easily. It also suits stairs, bathroom vanities, floors and outdoor cladding. The caveat is that polished dark surfaces show water spots, fingerprints and dust more than light ones; a honed or leathered finish hides these better on a busy countertop.
Care
Wipe with a damp cloth and dry to avoid water marks. Use a neutral cleaner and reseal every one to two years.
