About this stone
New Palissandro is a creamy white marble with straight, horizontal bands in light grey and brown-grey. Where the classic Palissandro swirls, this one runs in tidy parallel lines, so it reads more like pale striped timber.
It suits floors, stairs, bathroom walls and window sills, and the lines can be run along a corridor to make it feel longer. Honed or brushed, it gives a soft natural look. The name is a trade name rather than a quarry, so the look can vary between suppliers; compare the slab in front of you with the sample you liked.
Care
Seal after fixing and wipe spills quickly. Clean with a neutral stone soap, not bleach or acidic cleaners.
